On 25 April, a magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck the country, killing more than 5000 people, and injuring thousands more.
Nepal’s major cities, including the capital Kathmandu, have been badly damaged and rural areas near the epicentre have been completely cut off by avalanches. The lives of at least 8 million people were severely touched and the earthquake left many without anywhere to sleep.
The regular aftershocks even left those whose homes were still standing sleeping in the streets because they are terrified.
Nationhats created the Nepal Earthquake Appeal to provide shelter, food, clean water and blankets to the thousands of people who still need supply today. You can help by supporting the campaign now.
